Autumn week

This week we have been drawing around leaf templates and cutting them out, then putting them on our Autumn tree. We have been talking about leaves being attached or falling down.


We have been using our senses to learn about the fruit and vegetables we brought from home for our harvest table. We also brought items for our Autumn table.

We made a jungle area to play in and look at books . We enjoy reading the Monkey Puzzle story. We made animals and chose how to decorate them and where to put them on the display. We counted them, thought about where they live, what they eat and what noises they make.

Maths and Literacy

The four year olds have been trying very hard to concentrate on their letters and numbers, we have been thinking of fun ways to mark make in paint and looking at letters in words. Please look on our facebook page for photos and more information.

Today we have been making ice lollies using playdough, we added glitter for sprinkles, pom poms for the bubblegum and pipe cleaners for the sauce, they all looked very yummy.

Valentine’s Day

We all enjoyed taking part in all the Valentine’s Day activities, our love heart cake was very yummy, well done everyone.

Father’s Day and Pre School leavers trip!

The children have been busy making surprises for their Daddies this week as well as doing lots of activities – playing with shaving foam, Mr Potato heads, drawing pictures of our Daddies, making a toolbox, talking about Daddy’s job. The Pre School leavers went on their farm trip to Thornton Hall Farm on Tuesday. We fed the lambs, collected eggs, enjoyed our ice cream
